For the First time this season Jorge Posada (unexpectedly) got into a game to catch. Granted it wasn’t under the best of circumstances (Russell Martin got hurt) but it was a great moment for true Yankees fans everywhere. Seeing him behind the backstop, (behind DJ3K) was perhaps the best feel good moment of the season. I was happy for Jorge. I was happy for the fans. I was just happy. Even though the Yankees lost to the Angels tonight, I could not stop smiling because Jorge was back where he has been his entire Yankees career. His teammates were thrilled to see him come in. I mean Tex’s face. They were overjoyed and pumped! I mean he even threw out a batter at 2nd! Come on! And even if that was the only time we’ll see him ever again behind the plate, it was a nice glimpse and memory of what once was. It was a great way to end the night. Love you Jorge!
